Alec Ferrer, born and raised in North Miami, Florida. To him, South Florida presents itself as a symbiotic relationship between the cultural melting pot of the Caribbean and natural wildlife. He shapes his perspective primarily through garments, playful accessories, and digital collages. His childhood obsession with cartoons and collectables drives his creative design language, adding playful undertones to his pieces. His personal work focuses on a journey to The Watering Hole, a conceptual gas station that explores the dynamics of communal gathering around gas stations in Florida that parallel watering holes found in nature.
